STILLWATER — Oklahoma State added to its tight end depth with a linebacker who used to be a quarterback.
Yes, you read that right.
BYU transfer linebacker Carson Su’esu’e committed to the Cowboys on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Su’esu’e was a quarterback at Granger High School in Oakley, California, in the 2024 recruiting class, but the three-star prospect was targeted as a linebacker at BYU.
He did not appear in a game last season and entered the transfer portal on April 25, the final day it was open.
Su’esu’e fills the void of Jordan Owens, the Central Arkansas tight end who transferred to OSU in January but reentered the portal last month.
The Cowboys now have six tight ends on the roster for the fall, with another committed in the 2026 recruiting class.
