MSU commit, 4-star QB Kayd Coffman gets offer from Deion Sanders, CU

Colorado is the first school to offer Kayd Coffman since he committed to Michigan State in February

The top commit in the Spartans’ 2026 class has picked up an offer from one of the most known personalities in all of college football.

Four-star quarterback and Michigan State commit Kayd Coffman picked up an offer from Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday. Colorado is the first team to extend an offer to Coffman since he committed to Michigan State in February.

Coffman announced the offer from Colorado via a post on his social media X account. He included Sanders in his post on the offer.

Coffman ranks as the No. 22 quarterback in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 295 overall prospect in the class and No. 5 player from Michigan.

Coffman holds offers from more than 10 schools, with some of the other more notable programs to offer him being Cincinnati, Duke, Ole Miss, Syracuse and Iowa State. Coffman has recently been gaining more attention on the recruiting trail, with Ohio State also starting to show interest in him. Adding Sanders and the Buffaloes to the list of schools pursuing him will only make things harder for Michigan State to retain his very important commitment.
