Texas A&M is a finalist to land 2026 4-star LB Kenneth Gordon III

Over the next month, Texas A&M will host a vast and talented list of 2026 prospects, including four-star defensive tackle Jamarion Carlton, who announced his commitment date, set for July 10. On Saturday, one of the top linebacker prospects in the cycle, Kenneth Goodwin III, released his Top 5 program list, which includes SMU, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and Texas A&M.

Texas A&M offered Goodwin earley last year, and noting the recent success coach Mike Elko and his staff had had recruiting California, it’s no surprise that the Aggies are in the running for the talented and productive backer. Goodwin has yet to schedule an official visit with Texas A&M this summer, but will take OVs to Georgia on June 6, Michigan on June 13, and Oregon on June 20.

On the field, Goodwin is a physical player whose 6’1″, 205-pound frame makes him a hybrid linebacker or safety at the next level. His speed off the edge will lead most coaching staffs to utilize him as a pass rusher in twists and stunts. During his 2023 sophomore season, Goodwin recorded 40 tackles and six sacks in just eight games.

So far, Texas A&M has already landed four-star linebacker Storm Miller out of Ohio, and if the Aggies can land Goodwin’s commitment, the Aggies’ future LB rotation is all but set.

According to 247Sports, Goodwin is currently positioned as the 39th-ranked linebacker in the 2026 cycle and the 62nd-ranked prospect in California.
