Leo Delaney commits to Dabo Swinney in 2026 class

CLEMSON — Clemson football and coach Dabo Swinney added their 16th player in the 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Leo Delaney.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder from Providence Day in Charlotte, North Carolina, is rated the No. 8 player in the state and No. 6 interior offensive lineman nationally by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Delaney chose Clemson over Michigan and Penn State, and announced his commitment June 4 on 247Sports’ “The Ultimate College Football Show.”

Delaney helped Providence Day to a 9-3 record last season before suffering an injury late in the season. He is the fifth offensive lineman to commit to Clemson’s 2026 class, joining Chancellor Barclay, Adam Guthrie, Grant Wise and Braden Wilmes.

Swinney’s 2026 class ranked No. 5 nationally, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, before Delaney’s commitment. It has 11 four-star recruits and five three-stars commits.

Delaney is the second recruit from North Carolina in the 2026 class to commit to the Tigers, joining four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars. He is also the 11 offensive player to commit to Clemson.
