UCF football adds commitments from Kaj Baker, Isaiah McNish

It was a busy Sunday for UCF football, which secured a pair of verbal commitments for its 2026 recruiting class from Somerset Academy Charter running back Kaj Baker and Wekiva High defensive lineman Isaiah McNish.

The duo pledged to the Knights after taking official visits to the school this weekend.

The 5-foot-7 Baker is a 3-star athlete from Pembroke Pines who amassed 1,653 yards of total all-purpose yards for the Panthers last season, including 520 rushing yards, 756 receiving yards and 377 yards on kickoff and punt returns with 18 total touchdowns. He had 18 offers from schools such as Florida State, Miami, Oregon, Pittsburgh and FAU.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound McNish is coming off a junior season in which he had 64 tackles, including 3 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in seven games for the Mustangs. He had already received a dozen offers from schools such as Georgia Tech, Michigan State and Missouri.

Baker and McNish become the 10th and 11th players to commit to UCF’s 2026 recruiting class verbally. All verbal commitments are non-binding but can become official during the early signing period in December.

UCF entered the weekend with a top-50 recruiting class; the first since coach Scott Frost returned to the program after an eight-year absence. The addition of Baker pushed the class ranking to No. 44 according to the latest 247Sports’ composite rankings.
