Class of 2028 quarterback Brady Quinn camps at Notre Dame

Brady Quinn returned to Notre Dame for one of its camps earlier this week.

No, not that Brady Quinn.

Class of 2028 quarterback Brady Quinn—of no relation—participated in a camp in South Bend Monday. He is one of the program’s early targets in the rising sophomore class.

The First Baptist Academy (Naples, FL) product is one of the top young passers in the country. Quinn’s father, Steve, is a big Notre Dame fan and named his son in honor of the former Fighting Irish great.

The Irish enjoyed a lot of success with Quinn’s namesake as their quarterback in the early 2000s, as he had two top-4 finishes in Heisman Trophy voting and led the team to two BCS bowl games.

The younger Quinn already holds offers from some major programs, including Miami, Nebraska and Ole Miss. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder previously visited Notre Dame last month, and while he has yet to get an offer, he seemingly is one of ND’s top targets heading into his sophomore season.

In 12 games during his freshman year, he completed 176 of 316 passes for 2,549 yards with 33 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He led his team to multiple playoff wins, including a second-round victory in which he threw for 337 yards with five touchdowns.
