Iowa is back on the board in the 2026 class, picking up a commitment from defensive lineman Sawyer Jezierski out of Minneapolis.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman chose the Hawkeyes over offers from schools such as Boston College, Kansas State and Washington State. Jezierski also held offers from Army, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and South Dakota State.
The Edina High School product visited Iowa last weekend before committing to the Hawkeyes and head coach Kirk Ferentz, defensive line coach Kelvin Bell and assistant defensive line coach Jay Niemann.
Jezierski is a three-star commit according to both On3 and 247Sports. On3 ranks Jezierski as the nation’s No. 61 defensive lineman and as the No. 6 player from Minnesota.
Meanwhile, 247Sports rates Jezierski as the 157th defensive lineman and the No. 9 player from Minnesota. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Jezierski is the No. 964 player nationally.
Jezierski is the Hawkeyes’ 10th commit in the 2026 class, joining offensive linemen Carson Nielsen, Owen Linder, Hudson Parliament, Colin Whitters and Gene Riordan, wide receivers Brody Schaffer and Diondre Smith, defensive back Marcello Vitti and quarterback Cash Herrera.
