Four-star OT Emanuel Tucker commits to LSU football

The top-ranked high school offensive lineman in Mississippi is taking his talents to Baton Rouge.

New Albany’s Emanuel Tucker committed to LSU football after he announced it at New Albany High School on June 12.

Tucker is a four-star recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, and is listed as the No. 10 player in Mississippi, the No. 17 offensive tackle and No. 221 nationally in the 2026 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound senior chose the Tigers over Ole Miss. Tucker has received numerous offers from Power 4 programs around the country, and also competes in basketball and track and field for New Albany. He won the 2025 MHSAA Class 4A discus throw (139-5).

Tucker recently announced his decommitment from Mississippi State on June 2 after he committed there in February.

Tucker joins Hattiesburg wide receiver Tristen Keys, who is a five-star recruit and the No. 1 overall receiver in the 2026 class, as the only players in Mississippi currently committed to LSU. Tupelo’s JaReylan McCoy, the state’s No. 7 recruit, committed to the Tigers on Jan. 2 but later decommitted on Feb. 3.

The Tigers currently rank fourth in the SEC and 14th overall in the 247Sports 2026 Recruit Football Team Rankings. LSU has one five-star recruit in Keys and eight four-star recruits.

New Albany ended the 2024 season 11-1 and lost to Louisville 39-7 in the third round of the MHSAA 4A playoffs.
