New Albany’s Emanuel Tucker committed to LSU on Thursday evening during a ceremony at the school.
LSU and Ole Miss were the finalists for the 6-foot-5, 290-pound tackle. He’s a 4-star prospect, according to 247Sports. Tucker is the No. 11-rated 2026 prospect in Mississippi and the top-rated offensive lineman, per 247. The recruiting site ranks him as the No. 19 offensive tackle nationally.
Tucker also holds offers from Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Louisville, among others.
Tucker started his prep career as a defensive lineman, making 46 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss and 6 sacks over his freshman and sophomore seasons. He was moved to the offensive line last season and helped New Albany average 339.1 yards per game. The Bulldogs went 12-1 and reached the third round of the Class 4A playoffs.
Tucker made an official visit to Ole Miss on May 30 and then visited LSU a week later, according to 247Sports.
LSU went 9-4 last season under coach Brian Kelly last season and beat Baylor in the Texas Bowl.
