Clemson football has landed a major addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star defensive end Dre Quinn.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass rusher out of Buford, Georgia, announced his decision on Thursday, choosing the Tigers over Texas. Notre Dame and Georgia had also been in the mix earlier in the process, but Quinn narrowed his focus to Clemson and Texas earlier this week. A scheduled visit to Notre Dame was ultimately canceled.
Quinn first visited Clemson last November for the Louisville game and received his offer shortly after. He returned in March for the program’s Elite Retreat and made his official visit during the first weekend of June. Texas and Georgia also hosted him for officials, but in the end, Clemson won out.
Rated as the No. 105 overall prospect in the country by Rivals, Quinn also ranks as the No. 13 edge rusher in the class and the No. 15 player in the state of Georgia.
He becomes the second edge rusher to join Clemson’s 2026 class, following the recent pledge from three-star JR Hardrick earlier this month.
With Quinn on board, Clemson now holds 19 verbal commitments in a class that continues to gain national traction. Rivals currently ranks the Tigers’ 2026 haul among the top five recruiting classes in the country.
