Four-star Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver commitment Vance Spafford is projected to flip the Miami Hurricanes, per On3’s Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong. Spafford has been committed to Georgia since Nov. 2025.
The four-star, who is a member of the class of 2026, receiver plays high school football and competes in track and field for Mission Viejo High School in California. He’s considering flipping from Georgia for several months.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver is the No. 74 recruit in the 2026 cycle. The four-star is one of the best slot receivers in the nation and the No. 10 recruit in California. Spafford is ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver in the country.
Georgia currently has 19 commitments in the class of 2026 including three wide receiver commitments. Spafford, three-star Brady Marchese and three-star Ryan Mosley are all committed to the Dawgs. Spafford is Georgia’s highest ranked receiver commitment, but that could change very soon.
Miami has the No. 8 recruiting class in the country. The Hurricanes are no strangers to getting into recruiting battles with coach Kirby Smart and Georgia. Miami beat Georgia out for five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell a few weeks ago and signed Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck in January.
Georgia has the nation’s No. 4 recruiting class. The Bulldogs will look to other receiver targets if Spafford decommits from UGA.
