2026 4-star OT Avery Morcho explains why he committed to Texas A&M

What a day it’s been for Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class, as coach Mike Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing landed two key commitments along the future offensive line, as four-star offensive tackles Avery Morcho and Zaden Krempin, who are among the top pass protectors in the cycle.

Morcho has been predicted to land with the Aggies over the last two weeks, while Krempin, who is coming off his Texas A&M official visit, has had OVs to Texas and Michigan over the previous month; however, Cushing’s strong relationship with both players, built around his development plan that will eventually lead to the NFL sealed the deal on Wednesday afternoon.

While Krempin is considered the best pass protector in the class, but has a ways to go as a run blocker. Morcho’s 6’6″ frame and impressive upper and lower strength make him a player to watch once he makes his way to College Station, as he believes Texas A&M was the best choice for his professional future.

“A&M can develop me into that high first-round draft pick at offensive tackle.”

While development played the most significant role, Morcho revealed in an interview with TexAgs Recruiting that Texas A&M was the “most consistent” school during his recruitment, especially going into the summer.

“Throughout this whole recruiting process, A&M has been the most consistent school for me” Morcho stated. “They want to push me to be the best player I can be. I want to be developed by the best coaches and staff.”

Adam Cushing has continued to prove that he is one of the top offensive line coaches as well as an elite recruiter. After landing six O-line signees in the 2025 signing class, Texas A&M’s future in the trenches is all but set, especially if 2026 three-star OT Aaron Thomas is added to the mix.
