The Georgia Bulldogs are on fire in recruiting. Georgia received seven commitments in seven days from June 22-28 to overtake the Texas A&M Aggies for the Southeastern Conference’s top recruiting class in the 2026 cycle.
Georgia’s latest commitment is from four-star defensive line recruit James Johnson. He’s Georgia’s 24th commitment in the class of 2026, but the Bulldogs, like the rest of the SEC, aren’t done yet. Georgia has the second-best recruiting class in the country.
Outside of Georgia, the Alabama Crimson Tide are probably the hottest recruiting team in the SEC. Alabama has vaulted into the top 10 recruiting rankings after recently having the nation’s No. 30 recruiting class. Notably, Alabama landed commitments from four-star running back Ezavier Crowell and four-star athlete Mack Sutter on June 26.
Tennessee is another SEC team on the rise in college football recruiting. The Volunteers have added four commitments in the past week and are surrounding the nation’s No. 1 recruit, quarterback Faizon Brandon, with talent.
