Nebraska to wear all-black alternate uniforms vs USC on November 1

With the start of the 2025 college football season just around the corner, it appears as though at least one Big Ten opponent has the Trojans circled on their schedule this fall. On Friday, Nebraska unveiled all-black alternate uniforms that they plan to wear against the Trojans on November 1.

“It will be the first time since 2020 that the Huskers will play a game in an all-black uniform,” Nebraska reporter Sean Callahan of On3 wrote.

“The inner back neck of the jersey features the ‘Tradition of Winning’ mantra.”

This fall will mark USC’s first trip to Nebraska since 2007. Last year, the Trojans defeated the Huskers at the Coliseum 28-20. USC will be looking to replicate that result in Lincoln come early November.

Nebraska is obviously devoting a lot of energy and attention to the game, a sign of how much the clash with USC means to the program. This is a situation where USC has to go into a hostile road environment and show it is the big dog in the Big Ten. Pete Carroll teams knew how to quiet big, feisty crowds. Now let’s see if Lincoln Riley’s team can do the same.
