Texas A&M’s 2025 college football schedule is nationally regarded as one of the toughest in the SEC, primarily due to road trips against LSU, Missouri, and Texas to conclude the regular season. While this narrative holds up, coach Mike Elko’s roster is more than talented and experienced enough to weather the storm.

This offseason, Elko has made the necessary adjustments, including adding the former James Madison defensive coordinator to the coaching staff to fix issues in the secondary, paired with signing the talented 2025 recruiting class and adding 14 veterans from the transfer portal, led by wide receiver KC Concepcion and defensive lineman Tyler Odyedim.

However, starting quarterback Marcel Reed will need to improve as a pocket passer. Still, the one narrative that needs to be shut down is the notion that the redshirt sophomore’s vast importance to the Aggies is crucial to their success, which is not the case given the program’s strengths along the offensive line, as well as the depth at running back.
