LSU football lost out on one of its top prospects in the 2026 cycle. Wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster committed to USC on Friday, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
“Let’s do it! I heard they do it better out west!” Feaster said.
Feaster chose the Trojans out of a top three that also included the Tigers and Texas A&M. The DeSoto, TX native will head to the West Coast and try his hand at Big Ten football under head coach Lincoln Riley.
A consensus four-star prospect, Feaster was trending towards LSU following an official visit in March. He made the final official visit of his recruiting process to Baton Rouge on June 20 but the Trojans pulled ahead on the list.
On3’s Industry Rankings slot Feaster at No. 5 among wide receivers in the 2026 cycle and No. 45 overall. He reclassified from 2027 to 2026 earlier in February yet remained one of the most sought-after pass catchers in the country.
The Tigers will be just fine without Feaster. LSU recruited well at wide receiver this cycle, picking up commitments from five-star Tristen Keys as well as four-stars Kenny Darby and Jabari Mack. The group ranks third in the SEC and sixth nationally.
