LAWRENCE — Kansas football offensive coordinator Jim Zebrowski is in a leading role this fall, after taking over that position on the coaching staff.

Here are some takeaways from what Zebrowski had to say as fall camp has gotten underway for the Jayhawks:

What has Jim Zebrowski thought about Matt Lubick’s return to the coaching staff?

Zebrowski joked everyone will see the fruits of the labor those two have put in together during the offseason in the weeks to come, but in short, noted he’s enjoyed having Matt Lubick back in Lawrence. Lubick, most recently the offensive coordinator at Nevada, is back at Kansas as co-offensive coordinator/tight ends coach. Lubick had spent a couple of seasons as an analyst at KU earlier during head coach Lance Leipold’s tenure.

Zebrowski outlined that one of the reasons he and Lubick work well together is that they are willing to admit they don’t know everything, and as a result, try to do what they can to learn from others.

Zebrowski explained he wouldn’t call themselves film junkies, but he does think they’re junkies when it comes to trying to discover what an offense might be capable of. Sometimes they even have to check themselves because they might be going too far.

What should fans expect from the wide receivers?

Zebrowski described a talented and hard-working group of wide receivers that likes to be around each other, and one that you don’t hear complaints from. There’s a host of production Kansas has to replace from last season, and several newcomers the Jayhawks…
