Texas Longhorns defensive end Colin Simmons is every bit of confident heading into the 2025 college football season. It’s a season in which Texas football will meet the reigning national champions, Ohio State, in Columbus to kickoff the program’s season — its second in the Southeastern Conference. For Texas, Ohio State will be a revenge game after the Buckeyes knocked the Longhorns out of the College Football Playoff in the semifinals last year before going on to defeat Notre Dame in the CFP Championship.
“This year is going to be a movie, I tell you, when it comes to both sides of the ball,” Simmons said of his expectations for the season, according to a recent report in 247Sports.
Simmons later added, “I really paid attention to the little things this off-season and in fall camp,” Simmons said. “I’ve really been paying attention to my eyes and my IQ of the game, and just getting better at everything.”
Hopefully, the good guys — the Longhorns — win it all in this movie narrative.
