Entering the season, North Crowley wide receiver Quentin Gibson had offers from Army, Illinois State and Prairie View A&M, per the Dallas News.
Thirty-six touchdowns, 16 wins and one Class 6A Division I state championship later, he is a Colorado signee who has etched his name in the record book: an offensive MVP performance that helped the Panthers win their first title since 2003, taking down Austin Westlake 50-21 on Saturday.
Gibson, according to Dallas News, finished the game with 181 yards and three touchdowns, tying the 6A record for most touchdown receptions in a title game. He came within shouting distance of the receiving record, 236 set in 2021 by Jaden Greathouse of Westlake, but North Crowley focused on the run game with a massive lead in the second half.

With those three touchdowns, he finished his season with 36 TD receptions, the fourth-most in Texas history and a Dallas-area record, per the Dallas News.
Gibson, Cornelius Warren (241 total yards), Daniel Wray (93 total yards), and quarterback Chris Jimerson Jr. were large contributors to North Crowley’s 640 total yards, the second most in a UIL 6A D1 championship game.
