SD college football squads add Mitchell-area talents in class of 2025

Feb. 6—A number of local football standouts signed with South Dakota universities as part of the recruiting class of 2025. Many NCAA and NAIA schools announced their recruiting classes on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

A pair of Wessington Springs athletes have made plans to play Division II football. Ryder Michalek, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver, signed to play at Black Hills State University. Michalek had 58 receptions for 721 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024.
