Four-star quarterback recruit Landon Duckworth attends Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama. Georgia has climbed in Duckworth’s interest.
Duckworth is a former South Carolina commit but after his decommitment he has been a hot commodity throughout college football specifically in the SEC. Monday, he has honed in on programs such as Ole Miss, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State and plans to visit these programs very soon.
Ole Miss and South Carolina are Georgia’s biggest competitors for Duckworth. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback is the No. 5 signal caller in the country and the No. 66 recruit. Duckworth is ranked as the No. 4 recruit in Alabama.
Duckworth is also a state champion in basketball to go along with his state football championship. He has the championship pedigree that head coach Kirby Smart wants his players to have.
Duckworth is an excellent dual-threat quarterback throwing for 3,439 yards and 39 touchdowns while adding 648 yards on the ground and 12 rushing touchdowns to contribute to a state championship winning season.
Georgia has been making the quarterback position a top priority by going after elite quarterback prospects like Dia Bell, Jared Curtis, and now Duckworth.
