The NFL is planning to vote on a resolution about whether or not to allow players to participate in the 2028 Olympics in flag football. This got us thinking about who the Pittsburgh Steelers might send to the games in 2028 if they chose to send a player. Keeping in mind that games aren’t for three more years, we focused on players who are young enough to still be in their prime at that point.
Here are the four Steelers we’d love to see play Olympic flag football
RB Kaleb Williams
Williams is a powerful runner with excellent contact balance and vision. He would be a fun option in the game where he can get the football in the open field.
TE Darnell Washington
We pick Washington for this list as the center. In flag football, center has to block and can run routes and play receiver. Washington is built like an offensive tackle who can catch already so it makes sense to put him here.
CB Joey Porter Jr.
Flag football defenses need to be filled with confident playmakers who are stuck on an island and that is where Porter can be at his best.
LB Payton Wilson
If you don’t pick a defensive back for one of the five spots, linebacker Payton Wilson is athletic and rangy enough to do the job as well.
