Miami already has a strong 2026 offensive line class, headlined by blue-chippers Jackson Cantwell and Ben Congdon, and the Hurricanes continued adding to it Saturday.
The Hurricanes landed a commitment from Orlando native Rhys Woodrow, who picked Miami over offers from Arkansas, Florida and Florida State, among others.
“Could not be more blessed to announce that I will be committing to (Miami),” Woodrow wrote on social media.
Woodrow plays for Boone High in Orlando. He is rated a three-star prospect and No. 72 inside offensive lineman by 247Sports.
Woodrow, who is listed at 6-3.5 and 310 pounds, is a three-year starter at Boone, playing center and guard. Although Woodrow is not a highly rated prospect, UM coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal targeted the Orlando native for his intelligence, physicality and motor, a source told the Sun Sentinel. He impressed Miami coaches with his spring practice performance, the source said.
The Hurricanes have five offensive linemen in the 2026 class: Cantwell, Congdon, Woodrow, Joel Ervin and J.J. Sparks. UM is still working to recruit more offensive linemen, including four-star prospects Canon Pickett and Breck Kolojay.
