Georgia’s No. 2 QB recruit sets UGA football visit

The Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart are set to receive the first official visit on June 1 from four-star quarterback Teddy Jarrard. The Bulldogs recently offered a scholarship to Jarrard, who is a member of the class of 2027, on May 17.

Georgia is one of eight programs that Jarrard has lined up to visit this June. He also plans to check out Clemson, Notre Dame, Penn State, Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio State and LSU.

The rising junior is ranked as the No. 214 recruit in the country and the No. 15 quarterback per the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 29 prospect in Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback has really built up some recruiting momentum recently and could continue to rise in the rankings.

Georgia is currently without any commitments in the class of 2027. However, the Bulldogs do have a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who figures to be Georgia’s quarterback of the future. Curtis is a member of the class of 2026.

Jarrard plays high school football for North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. He already visited Georgia in May, so him returning for another visit is a very good sign for the Bulldogs. Jarrard is the second-ranked quarterback in the Peach State in the class of 2027.

Last season, Jarrard earned offensive player of the year honors with North Cobb. He accumulated 2,783 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns in 2024. He also completed an impressive 72% of his passes. Jarrard helped North Cobb go 11-2 and advance to the second round of the 6A high school football playoffs in Georgia.
