June has become arguably the most important month in the recruiting calendar, with prospects crisscrossing the country on official visits and lining up announcement dates. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman looks at five SEC programs that need to capitalize in the coming weeks.

The Gators are in line for some major fireworks in June and will have several of their top targets in the Swamp to open the month. That includes several blue-chippers – notably defensive back Bralan Womack, athlete Heze Kent, defensive end JaReylan McCoy, defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland and linebacker DQ Forkpa.

Billy Napier has a knack for digging out the spatula and Florida will get a crack at multiple in-state targets committed outside the Sunshine State. The Gators are also trending up with Louisiana offensive line target Blaise Thomassie ahead of his official visit.

It’s crunch time for Brian Kelly and the LSU staff, which historically build out their recruiting classes this time of the year. The Tigers are trending up in a two-team race with the Sooners for blue-chip quarterback Bowe Bentley.
