Tennessee is recruiting to flip a 2026 Alabama football commitment. Cornerback Zyan Gibson will officially visit to the Vols on Friday, the prospect announced.
The 6-foot, 174-pound prospect is from Gadsden City High School in Gadsden, Alabama. Gibson ranks as the No. 3 cornerback in 2026 and the No. 4 player in Alabama.
Tennessee was the first Power Four program to offer him a scholarship on Oct. 14, 2023 after an unofficial visit for the Vols’ game against Texas A&M.
Gibson unofficially visited for both the Alabama and Kentucky games in 2024. He committed to Alabama on Dec. 24, 2024 and visited Tennessee again for a spring practice on March 25.
The Vols have eight commitments in their 2026 recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman C.J. Edwards and defensive lineman Zach Groves.
