Only 76 Yards Allowed Until Penn State Football

In 2023, Penn State welcomed Iowa for the first time since the two teams played at Kinnick in 2021. You know, the one where Penn State’s starting quarterback Sean Clifford got injured, and backup Ta’Quan Roberson struggled to snap the ball, let alone produce any meaningful offense? The one where Iowa fans ridiculed defensive tackle PJ Mustipher after suffering a season-ending injury?

I remember that one, and I can bet you the team remembered it as well, as they unloaded on the Hawkeyes when they came to town 2 years later.

The defense allowed just 76 total yards of offense. The Hawkeyes had as many turnovers (4!) as first downs. Penn State held the ball for 45 minutes and 27 seconds of game play!

The 2021 demons were vanquished, and the Lions finished off the day with a 31-0 win.

Only 76 days to go!
