Wisconsin football landed a commitment from class of 2026 in-state offensive lineman Aiden Dirksen on Saturday.
Dirksen will join the program as a preferred walk-on. He accepted an offer that the Wisconsin coaching staff extended after his performance at the program’s high school development camp last week.
The 6-foot-6 interior offensive lineman is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and plays his high school football for Bay Port. 247Sports has yet to assign him a star rating or position ranking.
“First off, I would like to Thank God for blessing me with these opportunities that he has put in front of me,” Dirksen wrote on X. “I also want to thank my family for supporting me on this long journey. I want to thank Coach Steven Jorgensen and the rest of the coaching staff at Bay Port football for pushing me to my limit and preparing me for this opportunity while molding me into the player I am today. I also want to give a thank you to all of my teammates who have been a huge role in preparing me for my football journey. With that being said, I am extremely blessed to announce that I have committed to the University of Wisconsin!”
Dirksen will arrive on campus with a Wisconsin recruiting class that currently ranks No. 36 in the nation with 13 scholarship players committed. One of those scholarship players is from the state of Wisconsin: three-star linebacker Ben Wenzel.
