Wisconsin football class of 2026 target Chase Geter committed to Syracuse on Sunday.
The three-star cornerback chose the Orange over Wisconsin, Virginia and Duke. He took official visits to all four programs — Virginia on April 25, Duke on May 30, Wisconsin on June 6 and Syracuse on June 13 — before announcing his commitment.
247Sports lists the Virginia native as the No. 804 player in the class of 2026, the No. 62 cornerback and the No. 21 recruit from his home state. He joins a Syracuse class of 2026 that currently ranks No. 26 in the nation with 24 players committed.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, currently boasts the nation’s No. 38-ranked recruiting class with 13 players committed. As of June 22, that group has just one cornerback: three-star Carsen Eloms.
Notably, the Badgers currently have commitments from four of the program’s seven June 6 official visitors: safety Zachary Taylor, linebacker Aden Reeder, and offensive linemen Benjamin Novak and Maddox Cochrane. Interior offensive lineman Jalayne Miller committed to Stanford and Geter to Syracuse, while three-star cornerback Jamyan Theodore remains uncommitted.
The Badgers are still working to land commitments from numerous high-priority official visitors, a list headlined by blue-chip prospects, running back Amari Latimer, wide receiver Jayden Petit, offensive tackle Kamari Blair and athlete Jackson Ford. While Geter is ranked several notches below those top targets, his commitment to Syracuse is notable.
