Asheville Christian Academy football’s Sean Kraft announced his commitment to Notre Dame on June 24. The junior long snapper committed to the Fighting Irish after visiting South Bend last week.
He chose Notre Dame after taking visits to North Carolina, Liberty and Clemson.
“I am excited to announce that I am fully committed to the University of Notre Dame,” Kraft wrote. “I can’t wait to be a part of the Notre Dame family.”
Kraft is ranked as the top long snapper in the Class of 2027, according to Rubio Long Snapping.
He will be pivotal for Asheville Christian Academy, which retools after a 2-4 record in 2024. The program will also have a new coach, George Johnson, following the resignation of former coach Rusty Bradley in December.
Johnson is a former NFL defensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. He most recently was the Christ School defensive coordinator.
