What Auburn football player said about program’s offseason personality tests
This offseason, Auburn football administered personality tests to its players and coaches. Here’s what the Tigers said about it at SEC media days.
AUBURN — Wilson Zierer, a blue-chip prospect in the 2026 class and an Auburn football legacy, announced his commitment to Hugh Freeze’s program Thursday.
Rated as a four-star prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals, Zierer chose the Tigers over Alabama and Florida State. He’s the 10th addition to Auburn’s 2026 class, which still sits low in the national rankings.
He’s also the younger brother of Kilian Zierer, who was an offensive tackle for the Tigers from 2020-22. A former undrafted free agent signing with the Houston Texans, Kilian Zierer signed a reserve/future contract with the Atlanta Falcons in February 2025.
Wilson Zierer’s pledge gives the Tigers their fourth 2026 blue-chip pledge based on 247’s composite ratings, alongside edge rusher Hezekiah Harris, quarterback Peyton Falzone and linebacker Adam Balogoun-Ali.
Still, Freeze’s latest class is lagging, especially in comparison to his previous two signing classes. Zeier’s commitment moved the Tigers to No. 63 nationally in On3’s listings, and up to 75th in 247’s. It does, however, take Auburn’s class out of last place in the SEC, past Missouri and up to 15th.
