The Notre Dame football 2026 recruiting class as it currently stands, will go down as one of the best classes, if not the best, in the modern era of college football.
The Irish have twenty-six commits in the cycle, a group that is viewed as one of the top collections of talent in the nation. Its image got even better recently, as Rivals merger with On3 pushed a new updated to the class. We’ve already seen a big-time jump from offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, and recently Keegan Pope highlighted the top-10 running backs nationally.
Notre Dame has two of them on the list, Jonaz Walton and Javian Osbrone, giving them a pair of 4-star commits. Walton, a 5-foot, 9-inch and 190-pounder out of Georgia has an overall rank of No. 120, is viewed as a slightly better prospect, although you could argue that beauty is in the eye of the ranker. As for Osborne, he’s got similar size at 5-foot, 10-inches and 195-pounds, is just behind his future teammate at No. 139.
There is plenty of excitement surrounding this duo of commits, as we have seen in the recent years that many Notre Dame running backs have had success at this level and the next. They’ll surely have yet another one taken in this coming NFL draft with Jeremiyah Love, and depending on what Jadarian Price does, there could be two.
The Notre Dame running back room is plenty talented, and will get deeper as soon as this pair arrives on campus.
