Coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have the top recruiting class in the SEC and the second-best recruiting class in the nation. Georgia now has 18 total commitments in the class of 2026 and could be adding another as soon as Tuesday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Three-star defensive lineman Corey Howard saw Georgia this weekend on his official visit and decided that he’s ready to commit. After the visit he said he was planning to commit on Friday, June 20, but decided to push it back to Tuesday, June 24.
The 6-foot-6, 245-pound edge rusher plays high school football for Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia. Howard is ranked as the No. 79 recruit in Georgia, per 247Sports.
Howard has offers from East Carolina, Florida, Florida Atlantic , and Georgia State to go along the schools that have offered the defensive lineman recruit. The competitor with Georgia is Florida where he has went on an official visit to both schools.
Howard is a versatile player for his high school team Georgia high school powerhouse Valdosta where he plays defensive line and is also the starting punter. Georgia signed four-star safety Todd Robinson, who also played for Valdosta, in the class of 2025.
Georgia has two defensive line commits with Carter Luckie and Seven Cloud. Howard will make the third commit if he commits on Tuesday to play in between the hedges.
